Discover how OzSBI is helping local entrepreneurs launch, grow, and strengthen their businesses across south-central Missouri.




July Chamber Luncheon Recap: Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI)is here to support small businesses!


Thank you to the Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) in West Plains for an informative presentation on the impact they’re making across south-central Missouri. Since opening in 2012, OzSBI has helped entrepreneurs start, grow, and strengthen their businesses through free mentoring, workshops, networking opportunities, affordable office space, and access to microloans and capital. They serve businesses in Douglas, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Shannon, Texas, and Wright counties.


The 2025 Economic Impact Report highlighted impressive results:


  • Assisted 265 unique businesses

  • Helped launch 20 new businesses

  • Supported $9.2 million invested into the local economy

  • 50% of surveyed businesses reported increased revenue

  • Provided 925 mentoring hours

  • Awarded $329,000 in microloans

  • Businesses in their network reported paying more than $1 million in monthly payroll.


OzSBI’s mission is simple: Helping Businesses Grow. Whether someone has a new business idea or an established company looking to expand, OzSBI offers resources and guidance to help entrepreneurs succeed, strengthening the economy throughout our region.

Chamber Director Scarlett Smith also provided updates for members and thanked current Chamber Partners: TMB Reed Parts & Farm Supply, Midland Ag, Cabool Lease, Love's Pest Professionals, and Audrey Boyle, KW Local Realty.

  • Texas County Smart Start: Developing a Successful Business — August 24, 1-4 PM

    • Learn how to build a sustainable business, write a business plan, and manage finances from the start.

    • Location: Cabool First Baptist Church, 801 Ozark St., Cabool

    • Cost: Free to attend

  • Promote your business through a 2026 Farm Fest sponsorship or advertising placement

    • Support one of Cabool’s largest community events while gaining visibility among thousands of local residents and visitors.

    • Event Dates: September 11–12, 2026

    • Location: Chamber Grounds, 340 Cannady Lane, Cabool

    • Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are limited; businesses may reserve a spot online or contact info@caboolchamberofcommerce.org for assistance.






Finally, congratulations to Simmons Bank for winning the drawing to have their logo featured on the homepage for one month. Chamber members must be present at the luncheon to enter the drawing.
