April Chamber Luncheon Recap | April 28, 2026

The Cabool Area Chamber of Commerce April Luncheon, hosted by CASA, featured an inspiring and informative presentation on their mission and how our community can help advocate for children in South Central Missouri.

April Chamber Luncheon Recap: Supporting Children Through CASA

The Cabool Chamber was proud to host our April Chamber Luncheon, where members and guests gathered for a meaningful afternoon of community connection, great food, and an important presentation from CASA of South Central Missouri.

CASA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates, shared their mission of providing advocacy for abused and neglected children involved in the court system. Their trained volunteers serve as a voice for children during some of the most difficult times in their lives, helping ensure their best interests are represented in court and throughout the child welfare process.

Representatives explained that CASA volunteers gather information from teachers, doctors, counselors, family members, and others involved in a child’s life, then report their findings to the judge while advocating for safe and permanent outcomes for the child. Their ultimate goal is to help children find stability, safety, and hope.

A key message from the luncheon was the growing need for more local advocates. CASA encouraged community members to consider volunteering and making a lasting difference in the life of a child. Volunteers complete a 30-hour training program designed to prepare them for the role and to understand the court and child welfare systems.
